    Pixmac pictures

Pixmac pays up to $500 per 500 images submitted!

    From their site:

Pixmac is starting a unique promotion – offering all contributors an opportunity to get money for their pictures even before they’re sold.

From 1st February 2009, all contributors who upload their pictures on Pixmac will get a $500 sales guarantee for 2 years for every 500 approved pictures. If you want to get the cash immediately, you can choose the option to get $100 for every 500 approved pictures – before having had any sales. Portfolios preferred include high quality pictures with people or isolated objects on a white background. This unique opportunity lasts until 28th February 2009.

    Detailed conditions

The contributor can choose from 2 options.

    First

$500 sales guarantee for 2 years for every 500 pictures uploaded and approved on Pixmac. This means that in 2 years Pixmac will give you $500 even if your sales are 0.

    Second

$100 for every 500 pictures uploaded and approved on Pixmac immediately after the 500th picture is approved. This will be an advance payment on the first $100 earned on those pictures. Pixmac accepts the risk of selling these pictures and in the event that no sales are made, the contributor will retain the money.

Please remember to switch-off autokeywording for the pictures!
All pictures sent for approval must be keyworded by the contributor. Pictures uploaded as part of this promotion are not eligible for free keywording.

One last thing. If you are uploading these days, the process will propably take longer time to publish your pictures on Pixmac. We are making our best, but the number of pictures uploaded is high.

Not everybody might have saved the different possibilities to contact LO/ Bryan before the site went down. And as the information on the only page left at luckyoliver.com is a bit sparse, to say the least, here some more possibilities to contact Bryan/ LO now:

    Some background information first:

Lucky Oliver is/ was © 2008 LuckyOliver & MegaGlobal Image Syndicate, Inc. and Bryan Zmijewski has still another internet based company called “zurb” which is located at the same physical address where LO was.

    Address:

    ZURB, inc.
    55 N. 3rd Street, Suite 100-A
    Campbell, California 95008
    USA

Telephone numbers (they are either from the old LO web site, from one of the zurb sites, or from both) if somebody here has any experience which one works, please post a comment!:

    650.533.0469
    1-888-606-7341
    408.341.0602
    650.533.0469
    408.341.0600

    Emails:

    support@luckyoliver.com
z@luckyoliver.com (Bryan’s old email address at LO)
    z@zurb.com

Bryan’s Web sites (where you can find further contact possibilities):

    http://www.zurb.net
    http://www.zurb.com
    http://www.zurb.net/zurbphotos/ redirected from http://www.zurbphotos.com

I hope this information helps people to contact Bryan even when luckyoliver.com disappears completely and the given email support@luckyoliver.com will not work anymore, SY

    ………………………………..
Disclaimer: All this information is/ was freely available on the internet, I am NOT giving away any confidential information I have knowledge of due to my time I worked for LO. SY

  • No more per photo sales at ShutterStock…

Tags: ShutterStock, photosights, 123rf, per photo sale, shut down

The message below was displayed today in the Shutterstock Forum:

    Dear Shutterstock Submitters,

We wanted to let you know that we will be shutting down Photosights as of November 11, 2007. While we aim to offer as many options to our users as possible, our great strength is the subscription model. We have decided that we can serve our customers best by devoting all our resources to continuously improving and enhancing the subscription service at Shutterstock.

At 6pm on November 11, all traffic will be redirected to Shutterstock. Sometime after that date, the Photosights column in your stats page will be removed as well. All earnings will be paid out as usual.

We thank you for your understanding as we work through this transition. Please contact support@shutterstock.com with any questions or concerns.

    Regards, Jon Oringer
    Founder & CEO
    Shutterstock

Bearing in mind that I had only one per photo sale in my whole time at Shutterstock I can’t say that I am surprised… 123rf seems to be the only site that manages to do subscription and credit (per photo) sales well. SY
