DNF-Style
allcoffee

© Photographer: Dnf-style | Agency: Dreamstime.comDNF-Style.com is the web site of Frenk and Danielle Kaufmann, both photographers and both models, also I must say Danielle looks better! Or as they describe themselves: “2 photographers, two styles, one name.”
Danielle’s interest in the photography has started as an offspring of her successful career as a model, enabling her to put this experience to good use on the other site of the camera, especially when directing and encouraging the models she works with.
Frenk’s interest started in the 1980s with the photograph club of his school. He also specialized later in “dramatic expression” and uses this knowledge to direct models and to develop unusual concepts.

© Photographer: Dnf-style | Agency: Dreamstime.com2005 they encountered each other and decided to form a partnership, both in life and in photography, under the name of DNF-Style.
The team DNF-Style has studios both in Maastricht (Netherlands) and Lanaken (Belgium) but will consider to work everywhere, provided the travel expenses have been paid, as they are equipped for both studio as location work.
Their style can be described and covers all imaginable subjects from everything and everyone, of young to old, of family to loner, of portrait to naked, from studio to event, but also: companies reportages, products, weddings and parties, interior and exterieur, etc. etc.
Apart of this they also offer workshops for photographers and models and have been specialised in translating an idea, by means of a pose and expression, to a picture. Further workshops include: basic camera, studio and make-up/ visage skills.

Getty is sold – and now?
allcoffee
Getty Images, and therefore Istock got sold to Hellman&Friedman (funny name combination hell-man & peace-man (fried(e)=peace in German) for the lump sum of $2.4bn. But what has actually happened, what changes are to expect for us contributors to Istock? What has happened is that all the big guys at Gettys apparently have kept their jobs, including Bitter, the original founder/ CEO of Istock. What has changed is the way things are financed, not the way things are managed, so again, snafu….
Here some links for further reading:
The Hell-man&Peace-Man web site with the newest press release.
The Reuters news, as always dry and short and straight to the point.
Thomas Hawk doesn’t hesitate to state his opinion.
And our forum discussion is here. SY

Hubs are similar to Squidoo lenses but the interface is far easier to manage and I personally find it easier to write on Hub pages then on Squidoo, but this is certainly a personal preference. I haven’t written a lot of hubs until now but it is on my long list of things to do
My latest write-up was an answer to a request and you can read it here (What to do with a food aggressive dog). Hub requests are questions posted by hubbers and answered by hubbers, a great source of inspiration if you have the famous writers-block and great fun to do because they warranty some additional traffic. Some hubbers are really great, like Lissie, that has already published 52 hubs! I really admire people that have a goal and go for it! One of my favourite hubs by her is “Light Notebooks-Review of the 5 lightest laptops” when I am up for the next laptop upgrade, I will certainly go to her hub for more information!-

Oh gee – blushing, blushing Thanks very much for the writeup SY! I find 1 of the best things about HP are the hints they give on good keywords. A lot of my best performing hubs are either ones that are “flagship” i.e. HP paid me for them or were a HubPages request like the MacBook Pro one or the Holiday calendar one – which I would have never have thought of myself, but gave me a little cluster of hubs while I wrote about NZ and Australia holdiays!

This blog might be soon obsolete…
allcoffee
as I just started my “real” photographicfreedom project at http://photographicfreedom.co.uk
I hope to develop that site to a resource for micro stock photographers. So far I have a blog (the Homepage) and a forum http://photographicfreedom.co.uk/forum up and crawling
Needs still a lot of love but if anybody here is interested please come and visit us and join or start a discussion, SY -
why you should always read the f… manual
allcoffee
I use Thunderbird as my email program, up to today without any problems, until midday my time, suddenly all went wrong, emails didn’t downloaded at all, or only the header, or the header plus the body of the previous message triple downloaded. You get the picture, an almighty mess. It cost me some hysterical searching and posting around until I found the solution: Lack of maintenance on my side! One should regularly “compact the folders” Huch!? Never heard of it, never done it. Lesson learned: Always RTFM, not only of the camera you use, also of the software you have on your computer *tip-toes off embarrassed to read a whole bunch of neglected manuals* SY

You are right “hell” in German means “light-colored” or “light” (in the optical sense of the word
